The Fabric of Our Conviction.

At VELU, materials are more than a canvas — they carry our values.

Every fibre we choose is selected with care, integrity, and intention, supporting comfort, longevity, and a lighter impact on the planet.

All of our fabrics are made in Canada and certified by OEKO-TEX® / TESTEX to meet the highest standards of sustainability and safety.

Bamboo Rayon

Smooth. Breathable. Responsibly grown.

Our bamboo rayon blend (66% bamboo rayon, 28% cotton, 6% spandex) is crafted for softness and natural performance.

Bamboo grows rapidly with minimal water and no pesticides. Once spun into rayon, it creates a silky, moisture-wicking fabric that keeps its shape and comfort through time.

The result: clothing that feels cool, drapes beautifully, and supports a smaller environmental footprint.

Lyocell

Naturally silky. Made to last.

Lyocell is a plant-based fibre derived from sustainably sourced wood pulp.

It’s produced in a closed-loop process that reuses water and non-toxic solvents — minimizing waste and pollution.

Soft, durable, and breathable, lyocell brings fluid movement and long-lasting comfort to every piece.

You’ll find it in our Love in Hands and Bike Connoisseurs tees.

Organic Cotton

Essential comfort. Elevated through sustainability.

Cotton adds gentle strength and breathability to our blends.

We use responsibly grown, certified cotton to create balance — providing durability while keeping the natural softness our pieces are known for.

Naturally strong. Environmentally better.

Hemp grows quickly, requires minimal water, and thrives without pesticides. Its naturally breathable, antibacterial fibres soften with time—making it perfect for apparel that evolves with you.

Why We Don’t Use Synthetics

We avoid polyester, nylon, and other fossil-based fibres commonly linked to microplastic pollution and chemical residues.

Instead, we use only plant-derived fibres and small amounts of spandex (6%) to ensure comfort, stretch, and shape retention.

All our fabrics are tested under OEKO-TEX® / TESTEX standards — ensuring safety for your skin and for the planet.
